High river levels forcing its way back up the outfall was causing flooding in New Plymouth.
A WaStop DN1400 was fitted to a stormwater outfall to prevent flooding caused by high river levels back flowing up the outfall. According to the fitters, City Care New Plymouth, the installation was smooth and swift, and they used a digger to lower the WaStop into position. The existing pipe was DN1600, so to meet the customer’s requirements and reduce the pipe diameter to DN1400, an adapting flange in PE was produced.
